    New Text Message Outreach for PDP Members to Help Resolve RFI Applications

    As previously communicated, Wellcare utilizes automated conversational text messages in order to communicate with our Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) members. Members with a mobile number on file may be receiving the welcome message as well as other periodic text messages from the sender, “Jen at Wellcare.

    Heading Text 3. In addition to the previous messages sent to PDP members, a new Request for Information (RFI) campaign will launch this week. Details about this campaign are listed below.

    Request for Information (RFI) Texts

    An RFI campaign will begin this week and run through Dec. 2023. This targeted campaign will include one text message per week from “Jen” to applicants in RFI status in an attempt to obtain missing application information. There will be a transfer option available to the RFI team to complete the application. Applicants who provide the missing information will be removed from future outreach.

    Text Message Examples:

    • “Hi [FirstName], it’s Jen from Wellcare. Someone may have called you regarding your prescription drug plan enrollment application request. We still need some of your information to complete it. To finalize your application, when are you available for a call?” Text STOP to cancel.
    • “Hi [FirstName], this is Jen from Wellcare again. We tried reaching you last week – some information is still missing to complete your enrollment application request. When are you available for a call to finish your request?” Text STOP to cancel.
    • “Hi [FirstName], Jen from Wellcare reaching out one last time! Don’t let any missing information stop you from completing your enrollment application request for the prescription drug plan. When can we call you to finish your application?” Text STOP to cancel.

    Health Risk Assessment (HRA) – IMPORTANT!

    The HRA option is only available for new Molina Medicare enrollments.  At this time, we will accept only paper HRAs for 2024 enrollments.  You will find the fillable, multi-state HRA form on the Molina Agent Center in the 2024 Medicare HRA Toolkit.

    This form may not currently be used for the CA DSNP, VA DSNP, or TX or MA plans. Upon completion, please upload, attach and send your paper HRAs to: molinabrokerHRA@MolinaHealthcare.com. Be sure to use the subject line Secure Broker Sales Medicare HRA.

    • 1YR S&P 500 Performance Trigger Rate increasing to 10.50%
    • Fixed Rate increasing to 5.75%

    100% allocation 1 Year S&P500 Performance Triggered Index at current rate of 10.50% for 100k or more in the Optiblend 7.

    • If the S&P500 is negative 1 year out of 7 years = Average return 9.00%
    • If the S&P500 is negative 2 years out of 7 = Average return 7.50%
    • If the S&P500 is negative 3 years out of 7 = Average return 6.00%

    What if a Client doesn’t want to see a 0% crediting? Consider a 50/50 allocation between the 1 Year S&P500 Performance Triggered Index at 10.50% and the Fixed Account Rate at 5.75%

    • In a policy year that the S&P500 is negative the total interest at current rates would be 2.875% because of the fixed rate crediting regardless of the S&P500 performance.
    • In a policy year that the S&P500 is positive the 1 Year S&P500 Performance Triggered Index and the Fixed Account rate would both credit for a blended return of 8.125%.
