Great News! PGL’s Diamond Head MYGA rates are increasing! Interest rate changes are effective as of June 13, 2022.

Higher Interest Rates

The Diamond Head MYGA is a single premium, fixed-rate, tax-deferred annuity. The interest rate is guaranteed for the entirety of the selected guarantee period. During the guarantee period, interest is credited and compounded daily. Interest rates are quoted as effective annual yields

Notes:

  • Interest Rates are effective June 13, 2022 and are subject to change without notice.
  • Quoted rates may vary due to state regulation or taxes.
  • The Diamond Head MYGA is currently available in 42 states plus D.C.
  • Due to the current rate environment and administrative limitations, exceptions to freelook and re-issue of recently issued policies will not be granted. All new and pending policies not yet issued will receive the higher rates.

Important: Nationwide COVID-19 SEP – Not Extended

Attention Valued Partners,

You may have recently received communications from other health plans stating the previously communicated Nationwide COVID-19 Special Enrollment Period (SEP) has been extended.

As a reminder, the Nationwide COVID-19 SEP was only available from March 1, 2020, through June 30, 2020, and is no longer approved by CMS for continued use. 

In consultation with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Wellcare has received additional guidance that an extension of the Nationwide COVID-19 SEP is not approved by CMS and is no longer available for the Public Health Emergency (PHE).  

Special Enrollment Period (SEP) Declarations

To ensure you are equipped and ready to assist beneficiaries and members that my qualify for additional enrollment opportunities, Wellcare regularly alerts our broker partners of any new or updated FEMA or State declared SEPs. These alerts are sent to brokers who are contracted and licensed in the impacted area(s).

Our Wellcare FEMA / State Declaration Resource provides a comprehensive list of all active SEP communications sent as well as recently expired SEPs. Be sure to add this link as a bookmark in your internet browser to ensure you never miss a SEP that may be active in your area.

Wellcare will communicate any changes to previously communicated SEPs, if necessary when they become available.
