TPMO Call Recording Requirement Update

We recently shared a number of updates regarding the CMS Regulatory guidance requirements for TPMOs that went into effect October 1st. The updates include requirements for Call Recordings.

CMS recently provided further clarity on guidance related to virtual face-to-face interactions with beneficiaries/members. CMS stated virtual face-to-face interactions with beneficiaries/members must be recorded.

To assist with this effort, Wellcare shared information on how the Ascend Remote Agent Telephonic Enrollment (RATE) tool can assist you in complying with the new rule to record all calls, both inbound and outbound. You are encouraged to review updates made to the resource materials developed that support the recent CMS regulatory update/clarification.

Member Text Messages Campaign

Wellcare is excited to share that we have launched a new member outreach campaign targeted toward newly enrolled Medicare members.

Legacy Wellcare and Legacy Centene members will receive a Welcome Text and a Benefit Overview Text Message 5 days after their Welcome Text Message (unless they opted out from receiving text messages). The goal of the text message is to provide members with a link to their Benefit Landing page for quick digital access to their plan benefits.

How to Access the Storefront

  • If you have an account, you can sign in using your email address and password. If you forgot your password, enter your email address and select “I forgot my password”; then click “Continue On.”
  • If you are a new user, fill in your email address and password and select “I am a new user”; then click “Continue On.”

How to Order Sales Kits

  • Select “Start a New Order.”
  • Click on “2023 Sales Materials” from the menu on the left.
  • Click on “Sales Kits.”
  • Update the quantity of each material and then click “Add” to add materials to your cart.
  • Click “Checkout” from the menu on the left.
  • Fill out the form with your shipping address; click “Review Order.”
  • Review your order and shipping address; click “Send Order” to submit your order.

Qualifying Business

You need a minimum of five Medicare supplement policies issued in a month. Your policies that count toward the minimum can be:

• Those from any state

• All Plans we offer in any state

• Underwritten, Open Enrollment, Guaranteed Issue

Payment

Whereas the criteria are broad to help you meet the monthly five-policy minimum, the bonus pays:

• For Plans F, G, and N in the states listed above

• $150 cash per issued underwritten policy (includes internal and affiliate conversions, except in North Carolina)

• $30 per issued policy for Open Enrollment business (excludes internal and affiliate conversions)

Qualifying products

Medicare Supplement

Submit qualifying applications and receive the following bonuses: 

Electronic application

September 1, 2022 – December 31, 2022

Qualifying Product: Plan F, G, and N Medicare supplement* 

Payout Details:  To receive a payout you must submit applications within the qualification period and policies must be issued within 30 days of the signature dates. Each month is counted separately. 

Other Details: The application signature date must be within the qualification period. Payouts will be processed within 45 days following the end of the calendar month in which the application is issued. Payout will be charged back if a qualifying application is not taken after the issue. Agent must be properly licensed and appointed as required in the issuing state and must be in good standing with the Prosperity Life Group member companies during the incentive period and at the time of the award.
