New partnership helps customers get to vaccine appointments

Transportation available for Medicare Advantage customers

Because the health and wellbeing of our customers are important to us at Cigna, we are happy to share that beginning April 1, your Cigna Medicare Advantage customer can have easy access to transportation to and from appointments for COVID-19 vaccination appointments.

 Whether or not your customer’s plan includes a transportation benefit, all Cigna Medicare Advantage customers will have four one-way trips to vaccine appointments added to their plan this year. This is at no cost to your customer.

Cigna has partnered with Access2Care (A2C) to provide this service. To take advantage of the benefit, customers should call at least 48 hours before their appointment to schedule their trip and be ready to depart at least one hour before their appointment. A contracted transportation vendor will take your customer to his or her appointment.

We will communicate this to Medicare Advantage customers via telephone calls, letters, and messages on the MyCigna site. For your customer to make arrangements for transportation with A2C, they should call the number associated with their pickup address.
