Cigna Announces two SEP Disaster Election Periods for Georgia
SEP due to Hurricane Zeta available in the following counties:
Paulding, Douglas, Cherokee, Pickens, Forsyth, Stephens, Dawson, Lumpkin, White, Hall, Banks
This SEP is effective until 2/28/2021
- Applicable to contract H0439
- Brokers are able to assist members in enrolling during SEP
- SEP code is DST
SEP for Government Entity-Declared Disaster or Other Emergency – applies to Georgia statewide
Declaration Date: 2/8/2021
Dates for SEP: 1/11/2021 – 3/8/2021
- Applicable to those who were unable to, and did not make an election during another valid election period. Includes both enrollment and dis-enrollment elections.
- Reside, or resided at the start of the SEP eligibility period described in this guidance, in an area for which a federal, state, or local government entity has declared a disaster or other emergency or they do not reside in an affected area but rely on help making healthcare decisions from one or more individuals who reside in an affected area; and
- Were eligible for another election period at the time of the SEP eligibility period; and
- Did not make an election during that other valid election period due to the disaster or other emergency.
