Medicare Open Enrollment Period, or Medicare OEP, is an opportunity for clients to make certain changes to their coverage. In essence, OEP will replace the Medicare Disenrollment Period – which was January 1st to February 14th every year.
Medicare OEP will run from January 1st to March 31st, and will give clients a one-time change to a “like plan”.
Like Plan options include:
- MAPD to MAPD
- MAPD to Original Medicare (and a Part D plan)
- MA Only plan to a MA Only plan
- MA Only plan to Original Medicare
