Effective today, July 30, 2021, we have lowered the rates for the Modified class on Lumico Life Insurance Company Simplified Issue Final Expense. We’re also introducing Simplified Issue Whole Life for issues ages 40-49, which offers the same great product features as our Simplified Issue Final Expense product.

Improved rates for Modified class

On average, we have decreased rates for Modified ~5%, giving you another competitive advantage. Clients eligible for the Modified class can purchase up to $15,000 in face amount.

Simplified Issue Whole Life insurance for ages 40-49

Lumico Simplified Issue Whole Life provides supplemental coverage for families to help with immediate cash needs and expenses.  It uses the same app and policy form as Lumico Simplified Issue Final Expense. Here are the underwriting classes and maximum face amounts offered:

  • Preferred: up to $50,000
  • Standard: up to $30,000
  • Modified: up to $15,000

A common question I am asked from agents is what is how do individuals qualify for Medicaid?  Medicaid provides coverage to millions of Americans including eligible low-income adults, children, pregnant women, elderly adults, and people with disabilities. Medicaid is administered by states, according to the federal prerequisites. Also, Medicaid is funded jointly by states and the federal government.

How to Qualify for Medicaid

    There are several ways to apply for Medicaid.

    1. Contact your state Medicaid You must be a resident of the state where you are applying for benefits.
    2. Fill out an application through the Health Insurance Marketplace.
    3. Check to see if you are eligible for Medicaid, check with your state’s Medicaid office to see if you are or your family members are eligible for benefits. It can depend on at least one or a combination of Age, Income Level if you are pregnant or have a disability.

    What does Medicaid cover

      This is a standard outline for some of the mandatory coverage that comes with Medicaid Benefits:

      • Inpatient hospital services
      • Outpatient hospital services
      • EPSDT: Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment Services
      • Nursing Facility Services
      • Home health services

      Let members know: Aetna’s secure member website will no longer support Internet Explorer 11 after August 17

      Effective August 17, the secure Aetna Member website will no longer support the Internet Explorer (IE) 11 browser. If members try to use IE 11, they’ll receive a pop-up message letting them know their browser is no longer supported and they’ll be encouraged to switch to an Edge or Chrome browser instead. If members continue to use IE 11 after August 17, they may not have access to new features or site enhancements.

      Sometimes, beneficiaries ask us to connect them with an agent who speaks a certain language. If your profile is up-to-date and you speak a beneficiary’s preferred language, we may share your information with them so that they can work with you.

      To update the languages listed in your profile: Log in to Producer World and select “Personal/firm profile” on the left-hand side of the screen. Then, click on the “languages” tab and follow the prompts.
