Please disregard the previous communication, sent on 3/27/2020, announcing a Special Enrollment Period due to COVID-19.
Although FEMA and National Emergency declarations can result in special election periods, this is a unique situation in that it is a Pandemic and did not displace members. CMS has provided guidance that the SEP does not apply in this situation.
Of course, if CMS provides guidance later we will certainly share that with you.
Please take the following action:
- Discontinue any communication of a SEP related to COVID-19, as originally communicated.
- Any enrollments under the SEP will be canceled/dis-enrolled unless our Membership team is able to identify another qualifying election period. We will handle each situation compliantly.
