Voice Signature Now Available in LEAN

UnitedHealthcare continues to take steps to support agents and consumers by providing virtual options to do business. Consumers now have the option to complete a UnitedHealthcare enrollment using Voice Signature in LEAN*. Voice Signature uses an individual’s recorded verbal agreement in place of a handwritten signature.

*This is new for Medicare Advantage and Part D LEAN enrollments. Voice Signature and DocuSign capabilities in LEAN are also available for AARP® Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans from UnitedHealthcare®.

2021 UnitedHealthcare National Network

The UnitedHealthcare Medicare National Network was first introduced on Jan. 1, 2020, to eligible plan members (LPPO/RPPO). New for 2021, additional Medicare Advantage (MA) PPO plans and many, but not all, MA HMO and POS plans will be added to the Medicare National Network.

About National Network

National Network offers eligible members nationwide access to in-network care providers at in-network costs (network exclusions may apply). No activation or extra paperwork is required.

Most of the HMO and POS plans being added to National Network in 2021 previously had the UnitedHealth Passport® travel benefit. Please note, the Passport benefit is being removed from these plans for 2021, and impacted members will see the change from Passport to National Network in their Annual Notice of Change (ANOC).

Efficient, Faster Prescription Drug Decisions

Enhancements to the Drug Estimator Tool will streamline your discussions with members on choosing a UnitedHealthcare Medicare plan. More intuitive, with faster performance, it’s now easier than ever to compare and shop between all plans in a ZIP code.

One of your most-used tools and the one used by consumers, find it on Jarvis in Enrollments/Provider and Rx Search/ Prescription Drug Search. You can also find it when searching for plan benefits.

New Options Available for Medicare Beneficiaries with ESRD

Beginning in 2021, Medicare beneficiaries with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) will be eligible for Medicare Advantage (MA) plans, as a result of the 21st Century Cures Act.

The UnitedHealthcare Medicare Solutions Agent Guide has been updated and is now available under “Agent Guide and Handbooks” in the Knowledge Center tab of Jarvis.

A comprehensive document that outlines UnitedHealthcare’s rules, policies, and procedures, the Agent Guide provides you with resources on how to conduct business in an efficient and compliant manner. Look for updates in red and make sure to discard previous versions.
