Quil Health launches new COVID-19 Preparedness Tool for members

Independence Blue Cross (Independence) continues to monitor the situation with the respiratory illness caused by the new COVID-19 virus (Coronavirus). We are committed to protecting the health of our members during these uncertain times. To help members navigate the latest health advice and other challenges they may be facing during the COVID-19 outbreak, Quil Health — the digital health joint venture between Independence Health Group and Comcast — has developed a comprehensive COVID-19 Preparedness Tool available to our members for no cost.

With this free tool, members can take a break from the news and access important information they need to know. Content for the COVID-19 Preparedness Tool is updated daily based on new developments from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other trusted sources. In addition to receiving the latest updates and relevant content, members can also find resources to help stay healthy at home.

COVID-19 Preparedness Tool features

Members who download and use the tool will find the following:

  • A “What’s New” section that highlights daily updates
  • A symptoms checklist, along with links to CDC recommendations
  • Grocery shopping safety tips
  • Tips to prevent contracting COVID-19
  • How to care for a loved one with the virus
  • Self-care, stress-reduction, and in-home exercise techniques and resources

How members can use the COVID-19 Preparedness Tool

Members can view the COVID-19 Preparedness Tool from their mobile device by downloading the Quil Health app from the Apple App Store or Google Play and enter Code: IBX3-MEDC. They can also visit https://app.quilhealth.com/registration/IBX3MEDC if they prefer to use a web browser and bypass the need for a code. For members who are Comcast Xfinity TV subscribers, they can say “Quil Health” into their Comcast X1 remote to see the COVID-19 Preparedness Tool’s video content from their TV.

In the coming days, members will receive a digital message from Independence featuring a unique invitation code to register at Quil Health.
