At Healthfirst, we continue to focus on the needs of our members as we face Coronavirus: Type COVID-19 together. With that in mind, we’re reminding you of the resources we have available for Healthfirst members to help them cope with stress and manage anxiety during the pandemic.
No cost to speak to a doctor via telemedicine about emotional health
All individuals are advised to contact their healthcare provider if they are experiencing health issues. During the state of emergency in New York, cost-sharing is waived for all services delivered via telemedicine by in-network providers.
- Healthfirst Medicare plan members can use an in-network provider or Teladoc* to get mental health telemedicine services.
- For small group plans, Pro EPO and Pro Plus EPO plan members can receive telemedicine services from in-network mental health professionals, but do not have access to Teladoc for mental health services**.
24/7 access to a licensed mental health clinician
For more urgent needs, Healthfirst members can speak to a licensed Mental Health clinician 24/7 through the toll-free Member Services phone number on their Member ID card.
Help to locate mental health professionals
Healthfirst Member Services can help members locate in-network mental health providers that offer telemedicine. If a member has an existing mental health provider, the member can ask if the provider offers telemedicine for continued mental health support.
